Childhood obesity

With approximately one in five children in NSW now overweight or obese, it is important that parents know how to prevent their children from becoming overweight or obese. Childhood obesity is linked to poor self-esteem, asthma, increased risk of heart disease, sleep apnoea, body dissatisfaction, fatty liver and orthopaedic complications.

Weight4KIDS is a professional development online learning program for all health professionals. It offers a series of 11 e-learning modules developed by experts with the specific purpose of up skilling health professionals from all disciplines in assessment and treatment of children and adolescent whose weight is above the healthy range.
