Young children like to explore and often put things in their mouth, some of which can be choking dangers. They're also learning how to eat and aren't able to completely chew their food.
Blind and curtain cords that are looped or too long can also strangle a child if they become caught around a child’s neck. This can happen when a child sleeps, plays near windows or climbs on furniture near windows.
It's important for all parents to not only know how to prevent choking, but also know what to do if a child starts choking.
